Papillary Oedema

Papillary Oedema                     See DX Path for details of the conditions below

Marked papillary oedema is often seen in Polymorphous light eruption and Sweet's syndrome but consider also Cellulitis and Erysipelas, Urticaria, Erythema multiforme  Arthropod bites and some of the vesiculobullous diseases. Orf and Coxsackie virus infections can also cause a lot of papillary dermal oedema. Sometimes drug reactions such as AGEP and DRESS syndrome will also have extensive pappilary oedema.

Remember this is a dermal process , so the diseases in CUL DVA EVIE apply
