Mid dermal infiltrate

Mid Dermal Infiltrate                        See DX Path for details of the conditions below

Mid Dermal infiltrate is a vague term. It depends on the cells.

If lymphocytic consider lymphoma, lupus erythematosus , interstial granuloma annulare.

If neutrophilic look for vasculitis, cellulitis or early Sweet's syndrome

If eosinophilic consider drug reaction, urticaria, deep dermal hypersensitivity reaction or early Wel's sundrome or pre bullous pemphigoid.

Watch for malignancies such as breast metastasis or early Kaposi's sarcoma looking like an inflammatory infiltrate.
